Call for Presentations
Kia ora! The NZSLTA (New Zealand Sign Language Teachers Association) conference is a valuable professional development event for all NZSL tutors, teachers, mentors and researchers. It is an opportunity to share experiences, to learn about using the newly launched teaching resources and to share ideas.
NZSLTA Executive Committee is calling for presenters for the conference programme. We welcome all people involved in sign language teaching and learning to offer a presentation or workshop on the topics we are interested in.
The conference theme is “Changing Challenges and Opportunities in NZSL Teaching.”
When: Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July 2023
Where: Palmerston North Conference and Function Centre, Palmerston North
We welcome any ideas for presentations and workshops.
All presentations and workshops may be:
- Lecture-style (30-minute presentation, 10 minutes for questions); or
- Practical workshop (1 hour)
How to apply:

14th April 2023
We will let you know by 14th April if your application has been accepted to do a presentation or workshop.
7th July 2023
Please send your PowerPoint file and handouts before 7th July 2023.
