Learn New Zealand Sign Language in your local area!
This beginner-friendly NZSL course is perfect for those who want to learn basic signs, communicate with Deaf people, and gain an understanding of Deaf culture.
Youβll learn through three fun and interactive units:

Unit 1 - Meeting and Greeting

β’ learn about the use of facial expression in NZSL
β’ learn to get, and give, eyegaze before signing
β’ learn numbers 1-10
β’ learn the fingerspelling alphabet, spell their own name, and ask for repetition

β’ give and follow simple instructions and action commands
β’ ask for clarification, correction and confirmation

Unit 22 - Talking about money
β’ talk about finance related signs like loan, interest, instalments and investment
β’ learn different currency signs and understand basic digital money
β’ reinforce and practice temporal aspects with payments/finances appropriately use these money signs include some everyday phrases (bargain, borrowing, how best way to save money and so on).
Unit 23 - Making major decisions
β’ expand the vocabulary needed the various topics covered in this unit
β’ develop conversational fluency by sharing your opinions and to discuss experiences
β’ tell about making major decisions in life i.e. life decision, housing situations, career pathway, purchasing/selling cars and other major decisions
β’ repeat information to a third party, and ask for clarification
