To ensure that all members, branches, staff and committee members have clear guidelines relating to their standard of behaviour and their responsibilities as a member of NZSLTA.

- Provide honest up to date teaching hours and professional development hours yearly in the format requested by the RAP committee to assist them in assessing your registration.
- Respect all other tutors, teachers and students regardless of their gender, identity, disabilities, sexual orientation, cultural background, political beliefs or religion.
- Abide by the rule that members attending events, conferences or training organised by NZSLTA or its branches are not allowed to take drugs of any kind on the premises and must not behave in a way that places other members or visitors at risk or lead to them feeling unsafe.
- Verbal or physical abuse towards the Executive Board, NZSLTA staff and contractors, Branch committee, or other NZSLTA members is not acceptable.
